Rules for online MOEM contest

  • No sharing of any MOEM material electronically.

  • MOEM enforces a strict no retest policy. Any contestant missing a contest will receive a score of 0 for the missed contest.

  • Registration form is shared in the details table below.

  • Participants will be broken into Group A and Group B. Each contest will be held over 2 days, for each group to enable our PICO to proctor the contest effectively.

  • Each registered contestant will receive a group id and a registration id (privately) and the results will be sent as a blast based on registration id to protect the privacy of the scores. Corrected answers will not be distributed for the current year.

  • The contest will be held online on the designated dates from 3:00-3:40PM. Zoom link will be sent across for each group. Please join the contest at the designated date and time based on your group using the participants MUSD id.

  • PICO will read out the questions ahead of the contest start. Questions will then be shared as an online google form to each contestant for live edit and submission (form edit will close sharp at 30 minutes)

  • As the window for the contest for this year will be a month, MOEM strictly does not allow kids and parents to share the questions in any format to friends and family. We kindly request Curtner kids and parents to abide by the rule.

  • Curtner PTA will coordinate with our PICO, Mr Carder to arrange a sample test for parents and participants to become familiar with the new online format. The date and time for the practice contest will be sent out post registration.

  • As contests will be online we depend on parents to NOT help their kids with answers and advise/monitor them against the use of calculators/phones/google or any other aids to arrive at answers.
