  • Maker Faire

    We’re excited to invite you to join our school’s first Maker Faire on Saturday, December 8th from 11:00am-1:00pm. Curtner’s Maker Faire will take place in Curtner’s Multi Use room.

    What is a Maker Faire?

    Curtner’s Maker Faire is a space where kids and parents can invent and create, sparking their curiosityvia different challenges and lessons. These Maker lessons provide hands on skills, learning, and help with critical thinkingand even boost self-confidence.

    We will have two Maker sessions;

    • the first session is from 11:00am-11:45am
    • second session is from 12:00pm-12:45pm

    Please use the link provided to respond with the number of family members who will be attending and please also indicate what sessions you plan to attend.

    There will be multiple Maker stations and different materials that challenge our little makers’ minds and skills in the fields of science, technology, engineering, art and math, also referred to as (STEAM).

    We’re excited to see you there!

  • Science Night 2018

    This year’s “Science Night” will be presented by The Lawrence Hall of Science (LHS) of the University of California at Berkeley on April 9th in 2 sessions at the following location

    . Session 1 - 6:30 PM - 7:20 PM

    . Session 2 - 7:35 PM - 8:25 PM

    . Location: Curtner Multipurpose Room

    Click here for the list of exhibits.

    The program is a family event, where parents and students get an opportunity to explore the exhibits (in areas of Mechanics, Electricity, Optics, Magnetism) together. This program has been a huge success at other schools, and an excellent start to a life-long practice to master the laws of physics!

    Each exhibit station will have volunteers to help understand how to use the exhibits, and engage you to make sure everyone has a chance to experiment and make their own discoveries and conclusions.

    Click here to RSVP for the event in order to secure a spot for the event by Mar 22.
